Kept warm in winter, and cool on hot summer days by a heat pump, and so is a comfortable and inviting place to shop.
It is a great place to browse and find some great bargains, in a friendly environment, but three of our dedicated volunteers have received community service awards for their caring support and encouragement of customers. So, the shop is about much more than just selling second hand goods. It is about offering a listening ear when needed and showing kindness and acceptance to all who come in the door. After the earthquakes the shop volunteers listened to many people’s stories and offered cups of tea and vital support in very challenging times.
As part of the Seaside Seniors programme we also offer two community Op Shop Fashion Parades during the year. These are a lot of fun and help to build community and relationships between the people who support us.
EFTPOS is available.
We are happy to receive donated quality goods, but not electrical appliances. Goods can be dropped off preferably during our open hours, but if this is not possible please leave them under cover on the landing near our street front doors.
